VOLUME 2023            SEPTEMBER 20         NUMBER 51

President Thad Hall’s welcome was followed by the flag salute.

ACHES & PAINS:  Be thankful for all your blessings and be kind, you never know what others are dealing with…

PROGRAM:   Mike Fincham introduced our speaker, Sharon Steiner, Licensed Massage Therapist of Coast-to-Coast Bodywork. She started her career early in life, trained as an athlete and then as a physical educator.  To address the needs of her clients, she draws upon her special awareness, body awareness and knowledge of injury protocols developed from her experience as a multi-sport athlete.  By adapting her own personal experience into the formal training of physical education has broadened her understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body, giving her an emphasis on total body fitness and care.

Sharon Steiner, Licensed Massage Therapist of Coast-to-Coast Bodywork
Sharon’s bodywork today has been formed by interpersonal and organizational planning skills that were gained in her 13 years in the teaching field.  For over 30 years now, she’s operated her own business as a massage therapist and that has taught her about the physical, emotional, and spiritual concerns that lead people to seek massage therapy.  As she analyzes and individualizes each session, she pays particular attention to muscle tension and joint mobility.  She is always aware of the multilayered needs of each person in all domains.  She’s developed a unique stretching and pressure technique over the years that allows her to effectively address the personal needs of people from all stages of life.  Beyond relaxation, her bodywork instills each client with a more flexible and balanced body and mind.

Sharon has studied many massage modalities: Swedish, Thai, Tregger, trigger point, sports massage and various deep tissue techniques, reflexology, and shiatsu.  Equally, she has developed a strong intuition as she’s listened, since childhood, to literally thousands of people and their bodies for nearly 50 years.  She uses this cumulative knowledge to assess and problem-solve each individual’s situation, working to release tension, alleviate pain and promote relaxation.

Lastly, Sharon states, she’s always an educator and now a facilitator of total body awareness, confidently helping people achieve their personal health goals using the nurturing and supportive techniques developed over her long and thriving career.
