Optimist Musical Instrument Program

Help us give the gift of music to a young musician in need!

The Manhattan Optimist Club is proud to launch a new philanthropic initiative: the Optimist Musical Instrument Program. This program aims to provide musical instruments to students whose families may not have the means to rent or purchase one—ensuring every child has the opportunity to participate in their school music program.

We’ll be hosting an Instrument Donation Drive from June 2 through June 7, 2025. During this time, gently used band and orchestra instruments can be dropped off at the following locations during regular business hours:

Landmark National Bank
3005 Anderson Avenue, Manhattan KS  66503
701 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan KS  66502

kstate Credit Union
601 McCall Road, Manhattan KS  66502
2600 Anderson Avenue, Manhattan KS  66502

All donated instruments will be inspected, repaired if needed, and distributed to local schools for use in the upcoming academic year. Please note that we are unable to accept pianos at this time.
